Aloha Everyone! August is here and with that comes a few things, The Yoga for Peace event and back to school shopping. First, spread the word about the Peace event. Download a few flyers and pass them out to some local businesses, take a copy to your child’s summer class or ask your local library if you can post it on their bulletin board. Any amount of peaceful meditating is a good thing during these stressful times in America.
We are also going to collect school supplies for kids and will be donating them to local downriver schools. Watch for ads towards the middle of the month as many big chain stores advertise super low prices for crayons, markers, folders, pencils, glue sticks and back packs. While you’re picking up supplies for kids in your family, grab a few extra for children that are less fortunate. I’m sure we all remember how cool we felt when we went back to school with all our fresh new supplies and back packs ready to learn! Please bring your donations to the studio by August 22nd.
