If music were a religion, Kristen would be the most devout follower. Music has been her lifelong companion starting at the age of 6 when she started playing the organ, and then found her wild side when a red tambourine was placed in her hand. She studied voice and piano at Nazareth College of Rochester, then ventured down south to sink her teeth into blues and jazz.  

 

Kristen is settling into her Buffalo groove focusing her musical passion on African drums and formal drum kit instruction. Though her approach to musical training has been of the rustic nature, she has been a keen and thirsty participant of the art, finding transcendence through the wonder and magic of rhythm. A social worker turned freelance makeup artist and esthetician, music is her soul’s sanctuary.
