Linda Kane, MEd, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a certified School Counselor in the Williamsville Central School District, and an adjunct professor at SUNY at Buffalo, Graduate School of Education. As a certified yoga instructor (trained since 2000), she implements the mindfulness, wellness, and relaxation techniques of yoga philosophy with her clients and students and is co-author of a book on this topic, Girls Growing in Wellness and Balance: Yoga and Life Skills to Empower.
Her areas of interest and expertise in working with her clients include prevention, early intervention, and treatment of eating disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, emotional regulation, assertiveness training, character education, social-emotional impact of media, and cultural definitions of masculinity and femininity. Linda utilizes a Dialectical Behavior Therapy treatment approach.
